Counting and servicing parts to a defined quality, productivity and rental criteria standards
Differentiating parts and components between colours, shapes and sizes
Manual material handling of both large and small formwork and scaffolding components
Removing, repairing and replacing basic components using a variety of hand and power tools:
Hand tools may include hammers, chisels, screw drivers, spanners and pliers
Power hand tools may include drills, saws, grinders, routers and rivet guns
Accurately logging service work records
Actively participating in the cycle counts’ and inventory processes
Maintaining an exceptional attendance record with consistent emphasis on punctuality
Participating in all group health and safety meetings
Demonstrating a strong commitment to safety
Complying with all PERI policies and procedures, and provincial health and safety standards, at all times
Other duties as assigned
Working Conditions
Work is performed outdoors year round
Regular exposure to dust, dirt and grime
Constant exposure to forklift and transport truck traffic
Regular exposure to moderate noise levels
Availability to work overtime during weekdays and weekends when required
Must wear the personal protective equipment required in work areas
Half-face piece respirator must be worn when working in the warehouse
Physical Requirements
Capability to lift up to 10 kilograms/ 22 pounds on a regular basis and up to 20 kilograms/ 45 pounds on an occasional basis
Standing and walking up to 10 hours per day
Ability to reach at and above shoulder level as required
What You'll Need To Be Successful
Previous experience working in an outdoor environment with a variety of hand and power tools preferred
Ability to handle both large and small parts for material preparation and movement
Ability to differentiate between colours, shapes and sizes
Ability to perform basic addition, subtraction and multiplication and the ability to count parts manually
Excellent organizational and time management abilities
Ability to work in teams and/or independently
Dedication to promoting and maintaining the highest standard of workplace health and safety
Comply with the mandatory respiratory protection program where required
