Lead Advisor, Middleware

Specializes in Middleware lifecycle management services. Provides enterprise application server and messaging design and support services that continuously improve the availability, capacity, performance and security of our solutions. Experienced in Websphere application server, Weblogic, IBM MQ, IBM Integration Bus, IBM HTTP server, IIS on AIX, Solaris, Linux and Windows platforms.


Responsibilities

  • Partners with Architecture team to contribute to solutions. Develops and validates design artifacts, contributes to enterprise Middleware strategy.
  • Owns Middleware platform specification and design.
  • Provide technical expertise and direction to projects, releases and support teams to effectively deliver quality solutions and services and implement, support and maintain a stable and scalable middleware technology portfolio aligned with business goals and enterprise and Technology standards.
  • Accountable for the overall quality of the technical solutions, working collaboratively with stakeholders across business and technology teams seeking opportunities to improve quality of service and demonstrate commitment to operational excellence for all deliverables.
  • Coordinates day-to-day team efforts and priorities and ensure alignment with management direction and decisions and work with the team on continuous improvement efforts focused on process, standards and tools within the function.
  • Develop, maintain and enforce standards and practices for Middleware Infrastructure.
  • Partner with business teams to deliver on Middleware Infrastructure solutions including vendor contracted deliverables
  • Manage execution of the back-up and Disaster Recovery (DR) functions for the Middleware Infrastructure function, both in simulation and during triggered DR events.


Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 10 years of IT experience managing middleware infrastructure, especially in the banking or financial services industry.
  • Solid knowledge of Middleware Infrastructure technologies : Websphere application server, Weblogic, IBM MQ, IBM Integration Bus, IBM HTTP server, IIS
  • Experienced with Middleware on AIX, Solaris, Linux, Windows and Mainframe platforms;
  • Experience in service delivery on a 24x7x52 basis
  • Excellent communication to clearly explain technical details, strong collaboration skills, and a problem-solving mindset.
  • Bilingualism (English and French) would be an asset.
