Senior Gameplay Engineer

Kokku is seeking a Senior Gameplay Engineer to join our team! As a Senior Gameplay Engineer you will:

• Design and implement gameplay systems for our projects, collaborating closely with other programmers and the production team
• Serve as an individual contributor in gameplay development, identifying and mitigating potential risks during the development process
• Solve engineering problems using sound software engineering principles, design patterns, and performance optimization techniques
• Champion engineering excellence at Kokku and with our clients' development efforts
• Perform other duties as assigned
  
  
  

Requirements

• Extensive professional experience in game development with a strong engineering background
• Shipped two or more games and experience with multiplatform development
• Proficiency in at least one of the following programming languages: C or C#
• Experience developing gameplay systems for previous projects and familiarity with Unreal Engine (UE4 or UE5), Unity, and other proprietary engines
• Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and technical insight
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Accountability to consistently meet and exceed performance expectations
• High emotional intelligence and problem-solving mindset
• Solid debugging and optimization skills
• Enjoy solving challenging technical problems with effective solutions
• Ability to prioritize, plan, and organize work within deadlines
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
