To drive the profitable expansion of our highly successful contract manufacturing services, we are seeking a Vice President of Program Management. This senior role will lead our team of program managers in close collaboration with our operations, supply chain, engineering, new product introduction, business development, and commercial excellence teams to deliver exceptional results for our partners.


This role is part of the senior leadership team overseeing the operations in California and reports to the General Manager for Paramit in Morgan Hill, CA.



CORE RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES:


  • Strategy: define account strategies to optimize efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness for existing clients to deliver best-in-class customer experience.
  • Relationship building: Oversee and coordinate all strategic activities throughout the client organization, establish trusted relationships, and provide regular updates on program status, milestone tracking, risks, and opportunities. Identify potential risks and proactively propose de-risking proposals with the client. Identify business expansion opportunities with the commercial team.
  • Collaboration: Work with the engineering, operations, supply chain, quality, NPI, and commercial excellence teams within the Tecan Partnering and Paramit organizations to drive client program success.
  • Results: oversee our client manufacturing services programs to exceed quality, timeline, and budget expectations. Assess business models, product pricing, inventory levels and other key commercial terms and monitor performances.
  • Contracting & Negotiation: Negotiate, execute, and monitor adherence to client contractual obligations. Drive program change by evaluating business metrics, including regular assessment of inventory levels. Manage to disposition of excess materials regularly and propose de-risking strategies as needed.
  • Communications: Identify and resolve potential conflicts internally and/or with clients and propose proactive solutions. Ensure seamless onboarding of new clients with the NPI team.
  • Leadership & Coaching: provide leadership and guidance to a diverse group of experienced program managers; fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.



TRAINING, REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:


  • 10 years of program management experience within the healthcare industry, focusing on the contract manufacturing space is a plus.
  • 5 years in a management position with 3 years as a director or higher-level leadership role.
  • A bachelor’s degree in relevant fields, such as engineering, business administration, or similar, is required; an MBA is preferred. PMP certifications and in-depth knowledge of cGMP are a plus.
  • Proven track record in people management and talent development.
  • Exceptional business acumen with proven contract negotiation experience.
  • Experience in successful management of complex projects in a matrix environment.
  • Sound financial competence: P&L analysis or P&L management of operations programs preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to effectively collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders.



PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:


  • Ability to sit for extended periods and perform computer-based work.
  • Capable of walking within the office and on the manufacturing floor.
  • Availability and physicality to travel locally or internationally, as needed via car or airplane, depending on the distance.


OTHER REQUIREMENTS:


  • Work Location: Morgan Hill, CA or Hybrid; residence in the San Francisco Bay Area is preferred; relocation is not provided.
  • Travel: expect up to 20% travel commitments.

Annual base compensation range: $220,000.00 to $250,000.00, DOE, Bonus
