Compensation:

Pay Range: $63,875 - $103,800/year

Position Summary

This position serves in a technical capacity, on a highly functioning team, in a multi domain environment; assist with guiding system implementation, support, monitoring, and maintenance of clinical applications while under the direction of a senior team member.

Assist with application upgrades, complete routine service request and assist in issue resolution

The position will also support third party applications that integrate between EHR (Electric Health Record) via HL7 and API interfaces.

Key Duties:

Contributes to the clinical application system strategy, deployment, and support of the EHR and ancillary components.

  • SDLC (System Development Life Cycle) – Must have an understanding of the application development life cycle. Ability to apply those principles to day to day work.
  • Assist in Application Upgrades and Implementations - Review and validate technical functionality of application upgrades and implementations. Identify new functionality and/or hardware requirements as assigned. Ability to understand architecture diagrams and test plans.
  • Vendor Relationships - Interact with vendors (technical issues, project initiatives) and assist with issue escalation and resolution where applicable.
  • Communication - Responsible for demonstrating appropriate, clear, concise, and effective written and oral communications in all interactions to build relationships and accomplish day to day work and projects.
  • System Integration – Have a basic understanding of HL7 and API transactions related to system integration. Perform validation testing.
  • Documentation - Complete documentation/flow chart of system builds and maintain team's existing documentation independently.
  • On-call Requirements - Must participate in an on-call rotation group to help provide 24/7 support for assigned solutions

Associate's degree in Information Systems or a related field and four (4) years of related experience required. Work experience may substitute for education requirement.

Preferred Skills:

  • Degree in Information Technology or related field, or equivalent relevant work experience, 3 years experience with EHR technology and application support
  • Quantitative, data analysis and analytical skills is required
  • Basic understanding of different program languages: SQL, PowerShell and HL7
  • Experience with visualization tools such as Tableau, MS Excel and MS Visio
