Our client Company is partnered with Peraton on the Network Infrastructure Support Services (NISS) contract, in which the Social Security Administration (SSA) is seeking all necessary personnel to provide network support services to support Engineering, Integration and deployment, and Incidental network infrastructure task services.
Responsibilities
System Administration and Support
Manage and maintain RedHat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) servers and systems.
Provide technical support for RedHat systems and applications.
Patch Management and Updates
Ensure RedHat systems are up-to-date with the latest patches and security updates.
Test and deploy updates in a controlled and timely manner.
Security Hardening
Implement security best practices and harden RedHat systems against vulnerabilities.
Conduct regular security assessments and audits on RedHat systems.
Automation and Scripting
Develop and maintain scripts for automating system administration tasks.
Utilize Ansible or other automation tools for configuration management and deployment.
Performance Monitoring and Optimization
Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
Optimize RedHat systems for improved performance and efficiency.
Documentation and Training
Maintain documentation for system configurations, procedures, and best practices.
Provide training to team members on RedHat administration and security practices.
The Red Hat Subject Matter Expert (SME) shall possess all of the following:
A minimum of 8 years hands-on experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) environments, managing, configuring, and maintaining systems at an enterprise level.
A minimum of 8 years of experience deploying and managing Red Hat infrastructure solutions, such as Red Hat Satellite for system management, and Red Hat Insights for proactive security and compliance monitoring.
A minimum of 8 years of experience in automating system deployment, configuration, and management using Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform or an equivalent infrastructure provisioning technology, writing robust Ansible playbooks and roles.
A minimum of 3 years of experience utilizing container technologies, particularly Red Hat OpenShift, for developing, deploying, and managing containerized applications and microservices.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in virtualization technologies, including Red Hat Virtualization and integration with hybrid cloud environments.
A minimum of 5 years of experience designing and implementing complex system architectures using a combination of Red Hat products and services to meet critical business requirements.
Proven ability to troubleshoot complex system issues within Red Hat environments, providing rapid resolutions to ensure minimal disruption to operations.
Strong expertise in network configuration and security practices specific to Red Hat systems, ensuring robust defense against cybersecurity threats.
Excellent documentation skills for maintaining clear and comprehensive system and architecture guides, and best practice protocols.
Leadership capability to mentor junior system administrators and engineers in Red Hat technologies, promoting continuous learning and development within the team.
