Position: Part-Time Sewer Location: Mystic, CT Hours : 20-25 hours per week, Mon-Fri Pay: Hourly rate at a range of $18 - $25 based on experience, paid on a weekly basis About Us: The Bride Hive (home to gown collections Andria Bird & Layla Maxon) is a woman owned, rapidly growing small business, excited to grow our team! We design and handcraft bridal gowns, veils, and accessories for brides/retailers all over the country. We are known for our figure-flattering silhouettes, unexpected details, and customizable approach to bridal. Job Description: As a Part-Time Sewer, you will work closely with our lead designer, assisting in various stages of the gown creation process. This is a part-time position, offering 20-25 hours a week. For the right person, this role offers an opportunity for advancement to a full-time role. Qualifications Experience in sewing and garment construction, preferably with bridal or formalwear, but not required Ability to cut and sew basic garments (skirt, bodice, etc) Ability to follow instructions and work from patterns Comfortable working on an industrial straight stitch sewing machine (Juki) A creative problem solver, curious, not afraid to ask questions Proactive with a positive attitude Thorough and detail oriented Mature, cooperative, and communicative Responsibilities Cut and sew garments as needed/instructed Assist in keeping up with the weekly and monthly production schedule Communicate with the designer on progress, delays, and material inventory Why Join Us?
