POSITION SUMMARY

Radiology Partners IT Team is seeking for a driven, high performing, experienced PACS administrator to assist in managing and supporting the Radiology Partners solutions and services in Atlanta, GA. The PACS Administrator will work on-site with radiologists and hospital end users who utilize Radiology Partners IT systems. IT responsibilities include trouble shooting, problem management and apply analytical and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate and resolve systems issues.


POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide the Radiology Partners onsite presence to work with the team to improve workflow, gain efficiencies, and address questions/issues related to the PACS and other systems comprising the radiology solution
  • Be highly proficient in the configuration, implementation, testing and support of the worklist product(s), PACS, VNA and/or VR systems used. This includes the ability to work to initially configure the applications to customer specifications, test, provide ongoing support and user training.
  • Be highly proficient in configuring and supporting additional Clinical IT products such as Advanced Visualization, AI platforms, Natural Language Processing platforms, Analytics, or other platforms utilized in imaging workflow.
  • Have full understanding of how Imaging IT systems work with one another on the server side and read station desktop.
  • Support clinical IT systems by providing customers with working knowledge of Canopy supported products, including hardware configuration, installation, maintenance and all levels of product support short of writing code for the product.
  • Train appropriate users on clinical systems usage including radiologists, technologists, front desk personnel, and others as needed.
  • Interface with PACS, modality, advanced visualization and other solution vendors to implement solutions and troubleshoot issues in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for IT activities related to processes of user access, incidents, service interruptions and planned downtimes; also be responsible for documenting and communicating processes to IT to ensure consistent user experience.


DESIRED PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent experience
  • 4 years of experience in a Digital Imaging Arena with 2 years of experience working in a hospital overseeing or maintaining a PACS system
  • Extensive understanding of Radiology and/or Cardiology image transfer and clinical workflow procedures
  • The position requires knowledge of HIS/RIS, PACS, and Voice Recognition systems with an understanding of Digital Imaging modality operations. As well as a familiarity in DICOM functionality, the resolution of a PACS database and study queues
  • Must possess exceptional customer service skills and problem assessment abilities
  • Must exhibit the ability to work effectively with vendors and internal staff of a diverse background
  • Work well under pressure while maintaining a professional demeanor and a “patient first” approach
  • Requires excellent attention to detail with skills in application training and development of training documentation for trainers and super users
