The Maintenance Manager will provide leadership for the maintenance department and oversee the maintenance business process. Support and improve safety processes, continuously improve equipment reliability through predictive maintenance, root cause analysis, and elimination of worst actors, oversees the assessment and repair of problems as they arise, plans and coordinates mill maintenance, delegates responsibilities, and develops and organizes the department and its team members.
Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Manage the work assignments of all mechanical, electrical, and automation employees.
Manage the activities of assigned personnel to ensure maintenance excellence is achieved and maintained so that all equipment is operating at cost-effective, peak performance.
Oversees the warehouse and inventory of parts and materials
Coordinates directly with production departments to support mill performance goals
Participate in the planning and implementation of all capital projects in the mill.
Oversee installation, repair and maintenance of plant machinery and equipment and coordination of outside contractors, with primary focus on safe and continuous operation of all equipment and facilities.
Ensure that safety requirements are met in the planning and implementation process for capital projects.
Manage the activities of all maintenance personnel to ensure that plant critical objectives are achieved using acceptable practices.
Monitor teams performance, to identify and address maintenance insufficiencies.
Recommends, supports, and adheres to LEAN/Six Sigma principals including 6S, Kaizen, and DMAIC projects.
Implements and manages root cause analysis (RCA) problem-solving efforts to eliminate repeat equipment failures.

Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent
Years of Experience as a Maintenance Manager
Skills:
Knowledge of OSHA requirements and safety procedures
Proven leadership and team building skills
Organizational skills with ability to multitask
Demonstrated technical or maintenance and supervisory skills
Proficient computer skills including use of maintenance management systems, project planning systems, Excel, and Outlook
Ability to operate a variety of material handling equipment and tools desirable
Thorough knowledge of manufacturing and maintenance business processes, including:
Work order management and work flow process
Mechanical systems
Power distribution
Control systems and hydraulics
Robotics/Automation
Precision maintenance techniques
Ability to pass a drug and alcohol test, post-offer pre-employment physical, and background check.
Preferred Qualifications
Associates or Bachelor's degree in manufacturing, maintenance, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or related field.
Valid driver’s license
