Overview:

The Markets Transformation team works with all Global Markets businesses and multiple Client functions, including Legal, Compliance, Finance and O&T to identify, mobilize and execute responses to regulatory and cross-business transformational projects. The primary mission of the team is to design and implement integrated solutions in the most efficient way for Markets and its clients.


This role is a key member of the Markets Transformation Data Acquisition Group, working on multiple projects/work-streams, assessing and delivering data solutions and supporting changes affecting multiple stakeholder groups, in response to new mandatory regulatory rule-making, important supervisory requirements, and Markets discretional change initiatives.


Responsibilities:

• Consult with business end users to ensure appropriate integration of functions to meet goals and define necessary system enhancements to deploy new projects and process enhancements

• Identify key project risks, whether stated or not, and manage to resolution or escalate accordingly

• Quality control information before responding to stakeholders

• Provide direction and technical leadership on complex, high-impact projects and in all phases of the development and implementation process, ensuring essential procedures are followed

• Resolve variety of high impact problems/projects through in-depth evaluation of complex logic, data and system processes

• Develop comprehensive knowledge of how key databases, such as architecture and infrastructure, integrate to accomplish business goals

• Running ad-hoc analysis to analyse, reconcile, and interrogate data

• Developing individual project artifacts as necessary including Business Requirements Documentation (BRDs), Functional Requirements Documentation (FRDs), test planning and scenario documents for user acceptance testing (UAT), project plans as required for all key technical deliveries

• Day-to-day management of individual project responsibilities including milestone setting, task and actions management, co-ordination and execution of plan within required timelines and to stakeholder quality expectations

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years Business Analysis experience

• Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with attention to detail

• Extensive SQL experience

• Highly proficient in use of Excel for data analysis

• Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, to effectively produce reports, documentation, and communicate with senior management. Ability to seamlessly communicate complex technical issues to non-technical colleagues

• Self starter with the ability to work independently


Skills Preferred:

• Experience within an investment banking or financial services environment

• Data Visualization experience

• Experience in writing code in Python to automate processes

• Hadoop/Big Data domain experience and exposure to Hive, Impala, and Spark ecosystem technologies
