Inventory Control Analyst

We are searching for an Inventory Control Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will monitor the existing inventory processes by analyzing transactions to identify and resolve inventory variances, conduct inventory spot checks and audits, record inventory transactions, and create reports for management. You will be responsible for ensuring policies and procedures are properly designed, test the effectiveness of controls, and make recommendations for improvements. This position will be instrumental in process improvements, reviewing inventory performance against targets, benchmarks, and service agreements.

Essential Functions

  • Monitor inventory movements in the ERP system (SAP), track orders, and investigate problems.
  • Support with process and data audits to ensure inventory data accuracy at Fender Distribution Centers and other warehouse locations as needed.
  • Collaborate with internal employees to influence the development and implementation of procedures and processes designed to innovate and improve the overall effectiveness of inventory control and inventory management.
  • Maintain an accurate daily record of goods received, goods issued, and/or shipments processed by reconciling the 3PLs WMS and SAP inventory records.
  • Supports process improvements by identifying and reporting the risk of errors within the inventory control systems.
  • Collaborate with our third-party logistics and internal employees to ensure data integrity and accuracy when recording inventory movements; goods issued and goods receipts.
  • Investigate and report out shortages, overages, damages, and mis-shipments.
  • Identify outstanding in-transit; investigate and report out as needed.
  • Review and revise policy and procedures documentation and workflows to ensure the overall effectiveness of inventory control and inventory management.
  • Conduct cycle counts audits for internal and external users.
  • Responsible for multiple projects with a focus on critical deadlines.
  • Additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Minimum of 2 - 3 years of related experience
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of the organization
  • Moderate to high-level understanding of inventory control procedures
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Professional (Excel, Outlook, and Word is a must)
  • SAP or equivalent ERP system experience preferred
  • High attention to detail and good organization skills
  • Outstanding customer service and problem-solving skills

The pay scale for this position takes into account the wide range of factors that Fender considers in making compensation decisions, including, without limitation: skill set, experience, and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. If this is a remote position, the pay scale disclosed herein may be adjusted further based upon the applicable geographic differential associated with the location from which the successful candidate will work. Please note that it is not typical for a Fender employee to be at or near the top of the pay scale for their role – especially as a new hire – and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. Subject to the foregoing, the current pay scale for this position is $60,559 to $70,653 per year.
