Inventory Clerk

Job Description

Summary: The Inventory Control Clerk works to ensure inventory accuracy in Superior Duct’s inventory tracking system (Genesys) by coordinating cycle counts, troubleshooting discrepancies and correcting inventory. The inventory clerk will monitor all the activities in an organization related to ordering, receiving, storing, and distributing materials, equipment, merchandise, supplies and products. Our ideal candidate has working knowledge of administrative inventory management and coordination.

This is a full-time Monday - Friday 8:00am-5:00p.m (subject to change depending on business needs), non-exempt position, working out of our Pomona, CA location.

Responsibilities:

• Perform accurate physical/cycle counts.
• Maintain and update inventory records such as but not limited to work orders, receivers, stock transfers, inventory adjustments, physical inventory counts.
• Thoroughly troubleshoot discrepancies and help identify root causes.
• Ensure that inventory in the system is maintained and reflects the true value.
• Analyze Genesys inventory reports daily and reconcile discrepancies.
• Monitor aging, obsolete and slow-moving inventory.
• Prepare inventory reports for management as required.
• Support Purchasing, Production, Will Call and Shipping when required.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by Manager.
  
  

Qualifications:

• Minimum of five years relevant work experience in inventory control.
• Good verbal and written communication.
• General proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and multi-task.
• Inventory tracking systems knowledge – Genesys experience a plus.
• Forklift certified a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• High school diploma or GED.
