This role is first shift, fully onsite and based at our Bardstown, Kentucky facility.
What The Role Is
The Facilities Engineering Specialist will be responsible for assisting the Facilities Engineering Manager with issuing facility related purchase orders, organizing facility inspection documentation, contractor annual documentation record keeping, maintaining organized documentation for regulatory compliance, scheduling of contracted work, and creating/maintaining inventory for facility equipment. The Facilities Engineering Specialist will work closely with the Facilities Engineering Manager and others within the department.
How You Will Spend Your Time?
Create and issue purchase orders for facility equipment and services
Manage inventory of parts and equipment
Create spare parts inventory for existing equipment and hardware
Update plant documentation, including but not limited to, plant layout, inspection sheets, fire system documentation, etc. to reflect facility equipment and structure changes
Organize and maintain inspection and maintenance documentation including but not limited to facility and barrel warehouse fire systems, fire doors, facility alarm system, steam boilers, sewer/lagoon system, HVAC units, air compressors, chillers, and generators
Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in storage areas
Mark equipment items using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, or other labeling equipment
Gather data from facilities equipment as required, including HVAC systems
Promote and aid in plant continuous improvement efforts
Support facilities related projects including system design, quote acquisition, budget approval, contractor management, and more.
Who You Are…
A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Mechanical Engineering, or Information System or related degree
Minimum 1 year experience in a maintenance or engineering administrative role
Strong organizational and time management skills, ability to manage multiple priorities
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in AutoCAD preferred
Strong interpersonal skills
Results oriented
Excellent written and verbal communication skills – talking to others to convey information effectively
Advanced level skills in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint & Access)
High attention to detail
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
Previous knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance
Valued But Not Required Skills And Experience
Previous experience with maintenance inventory management software
Previous experience in the distilled spirits industry
Physical Requirements
While performing duties of job, employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; use hands and fingers to handle, or feel objects, and use of computer; reach with hands and arms. Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Must occasionally climb stair, walk on roofs; use hands and fingers to handle, or feel objects, and use of computer; reach with hands and arms. Employee will on occasion have tasks that will require them to be outside and exposed to outside elements.
