Support the Renker Wellness Center teaching exercise classes in a group setting as well as 1:1 interviews with participants in the center, including Cardiac/Pulmonary Rehabilitation.
Collaborate in the educational classes related to wellness offered by the RWC
Develop exercise programs for seniors with complex medical issues to support optimal wellbeing.
Required: Bachelor's degree in Exercise Physiology, Exercise Science, Kinesiology or other related healthcare field
Preferred: Master's degree in fields above
Licensure/Certification
Required: American Heart Association BLS Certification
Preferred: ACSM Certification of Exercise Physiology & Health Fitness Specialist
Experience
Required: Two (2) years of experience in fitness, personal training or clinical experience in an educational program

Essential Responsibilities
Demonstrates compliance with Code of Conduct and compliance policies, and takes action to resolve compliance questions or concerns and report suspected violations
Performs fitness evaluations and creates exercise prescriptions in conjunction with clinical assessment evaluations
Performs fitness evaluations as requested
Tracks participation and adjusts fitness classes based on evaluation of group demographics including age, fitness levels and medical conditions
Observes participants during exercise for signs of stress and demonstrates correct use of equipment and exercise routines
Conduct lectures within areas of education and expertise
Performs other duties as assigned.
