ESPN Madison is looking for a full-time Producer to help produce live and syndicated programming and live sports with potential to earn additional opportunities as an on-air host! The ideal candidate will be passionate about Wisconsin sports and have previous radio operating/hosting experience.
The Role of a Producer
The primary role of this position will work with host(s) on content plan and execution, support our talent on show production and log fulfillment, collaborate with other show producers on the sharing of news, ideas, and audio, work in conjunction with marketing/promotions on contesting and sponsorships, assist engineers on ensuring the station is operating within FCC guidelines and is on-the-air, as well as host, co-host, or fill-in on local shows.
Daily Tasks of a Producer
Producer of Wisconsin Badgers Volleyball on 100.5 ESPN
Produce ESPN Madison/ESPN Wisconsin shows, with ability to earn on-air opportunities
Stay up to date with daily stories, breaking news, current events, etc.
Record and produce daily updates and content features (Badger Minutes, SportsCenter updates, etc.)
Assist hosts and producers with planning and collaboration of show details, including digital content
Have an active presence on social media and engage with audience
Ability to summarize information in an easy-to-understand component and relate to the audience
Participate in brainstorming/planning meetings for show concepts, ideas, events, endorsements, segments, partners, etc.
Endorse advertising partners, mutually agreed upon between teammate, ESPN Madison, and advertising partner
Voice commercials, promotional messaging, etc.
Provide on-site coverage of local games, including digital content features and sharing audio clips with hosts and producers
Coordinate and produce local sports play-by-play broadcasts, with ability to earn on-air opportunities
Train, learn, enhance, and utilize video production skills for digital content creation
Assist production director with commercial production and station imaging/promos
Contribute to station social media and digital content platforms, including participation in weekly strategic planning meetings
Serve as on-site technical producer for remote broadcasts, including site surveys for upcoming remote broadcasts
Participate in the sales and marketing process to help station and market growth

Hours/Salary/Benefits
This is an exempt role with a competitive base salary. This role is eligible for full benefits including health, dental and vision insurance, Life Insurance, STD, LTD, 401(k) Plan, Dependent Care, paid parental leave, and more with opportunities for salary growth increase with skills and responsibilities and meeting targeted goals. The position will be required to work some evenings and weekends.
