Position Summary

The Content Writer 2 will manage and create digital and social content for 315 properties across Weidner’s social portfolio. This role will be responsible for developing project plans and designing and implementing platform procedural guides, job aids, and various resources to assist users with understanding and utilizing multiple social platforms, including Facebook Marketplace. Your vital contribution will ensure Weidner publishes high-quality copy and social content that has the best chance of encouraging prospects to apply for an apartment home. The Content Writer 2 will report monthly on KPIs, enhancements, and training progress. The Content Writer 2 will also manage content calendars, develop a monthly posting schedule, and manage user access and security of Weidner’s social accounts. A successful Content Writer 2 is able to manage their time effectively, is detail oriented, a trustworthy team player, and takes pride in their work. In addition, this position needs to be accountable and attentive to provide excellent customer service skills when interacting with residents, associates and vendors.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Weidner’s marketing team to drive organic website and social-driven leads
  • Maintain the accuracy of property Facebook marketplace content by making all changes and corrections via the content management system, including community descriptions, ILS descriptions, love notes, and photo descriptions that are consistent with Weidner branding standards
  • Develop targeted content to set Weidner communities apart from the competition on various ILS companies, social platforms, and company websites to increase organic qualified leads
  • Assist with video content, website copy, and public relations messaging
  • Manage, coordinate, publish, and execute content marketing strategies, including desktop, mobile, tablet, presentations, and online leasing platforms
  • Optimize campaign budgets to yield high-quality leads at the most cost-effective rates
  • Oversee Weidner’s social portfolio, including Facebook Marketplace, by scheduling and posting content for lead-generation purposes
  • Ensure compliance with the law (e.g., copyright, fair housing, and data protection)

Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree in English, Marketing, Business, Journalism, or Communications is preferred 1 years of social media management, preferred
  • 1 year of experience in Multifamily or B2C marketing, preferred
  • Experience in training content creation and social platform management, preferred
  • Excellent organization and interpersonal communication skills, emphasizing strong written and verbal presentation abilities
  • Detail-oriented, consistently meets deadlines, and can work in independent and team-based settings
  • Adaptable and willing to learn new software and technology program trends to leverage marketing goals
  • Ability to quickly understand and utilize various social platforms, trends, and best practices to create cutting-edge content and team-based training
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong motivation to learn and contribute to daily operations
  • Able to give clear, professional direction via phone, video, email, and in-person communication
  • Understanding of semantic content optimization strategies
  • Ability to think, plan, and execute resourcefully across multiple tasks with minimal supervision
  • Possess a marketing and customer service emphasis
  • Experience with MS Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
  • Follow Weidner’s Mission, Vision, and Values and comply with all Weidner policies and procedures as well as all Fair Housing, local, state, and federal laws
  • Ability to work effectively on a team or alone, and work cooperatively with all levels of associates
  • Prompt with regular attendance and always maintain a professional appearance while on duty
  • Must agree to a criminal background check and sign an agreement for voluntary drug testing
  • Ability to work outside of regularly scheduled hours as needed for planned events and travel
  • Ability to work 5 days a week in the Kirkland Home Office
  • Ability to travel up to 25% to provide in-person training for regional associates
