The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is responsible for the fiscal health of the business. The CFO’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to, running a top-notch finance team, and managing the procurement, Revenue Cycle Management and IT functions. In this role, the CFO ensures revenues and expenses stay in balance compared to the budget, produces the monthly financial package, oversees financial planning, cashflow, reconciliation, and analysis functions. Based on our current status and market trends, makes strategic recommendations on acquisitions, current debt structure, cash positions, and works with our banking partner. Internally, the CFO works with our C-Suite to analyze financial data and craft budgets, attests to the accuracy of reports, and consults with the board of directors and the CEO on strategy. The CFO is responsible for maximizing the return on financial assets by establishing financial policies, procedures, controls and reporting systems.



Essential functions

The CFO will direct and oversee the financial activities of the corporation, direct the preparation of current financial reports and summaries, and create forecasts predicting future growth. Functions include, but are not limited to:


· Directs the preparation of all financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, shareholder reports, tax returns, and governmental agency reports.

· Compares sales and profit projections to actual figures and budgeted expenses to actual expenses; makes or oversees any necessary adjustments to future projections and budgets.

· Reviews planning process and suggests improvements to current methods.

· Works with the C-Suite and Owner Doctors to coordinate planning and establish priorities for the planning process.

· Studies long-range economic trends and projects their impact on future growth in sales and market share.

· Presents to the Board of Directors on results, strategies, and key decisions.

· Identifies opportunities for expansion into new areas and Oversees investment of funds.

· Plans and performs financial operations and corporate financial group.

· Strong utilization and understanding of accounting software (QuickBooks).

· Analyzes revenues and expenses to ensure they are recorded with accuracy.

· Develops accounting procedures, methodologies and templates.

· Assists in documentation and monitoring of internal controls.

· Strong familiarity with debits and credits and financial closing processes.

· Promotes financial integrity upholding high standards and transparency.

· Oversees IT (outsourced) to ensure compliance and equipment is functioning properly.

· Manages Procurement/Purchasing to ensure cost control, staying on formulary, and getting contracted pricing.

· Manages the Revenue Cycle Management Team to ensure insurance postings are occurring within our guidelines.


Required Education and Experience

· Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting

· Ten (10) years professional experience in Finance and Accounting

· Master’s Degree in a Finance related field of study (preferred)
