Reporting to the campus visit coordinator – events and communication, the campus visit specialist – events and communication is responsible for creating an exemplary campus visit experience for prospective students, families and educators by planning, organizing and executing on-campus and virtual recruiting events. as well as creating marketing materials for the campus visit experience. The campus visit experience at Lynn University takes a highly individualized and personalized approach to showcasing the university's academic, cultural, social and athletic environments to visitors and works to schedule events at the best time for the visitors. The campus visit program plays a vital role in the success of the Office of Admission and has been recognized nationally in University Business, Inside Higher Ed and the New York Times.

Job Description:

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Assist in the planning, organization and execution of programming for prospective students, both on campus and virtually.
  • Work with vendors and internal departments to coordinate set-up, catering and other logistical needs for events.
  • Contribute to marketing and communication for the programs produced by the campus visit experience division.
  • Partner with the director of enrollment services in creating formal and informal marketing materials to promote attendance for admission events.
  • Counsel students through the application process and conducts admission presentations to campus visitors and varying constituent groups on campus.
  • Collaborate with team members and leadership to ensure operational activities within the office are streamlined and productive.
  • Collect and analyze data on all visitors to campus in order to determine new strategies to enhance the yield of the campus visit program.
  • Stay abreast of trends in higher education and visitor services industries, where relevant.

  • Ability to work a varied schedule with flexible hours including weekends and evenings.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, leadership, organizational and programming skills.
  • Outstanding customer service skills and the ability to create immediate rapport with a wide variety of personalities.
  • Ability to clearly and persuasively articulate university programs and offerings to prospective students.
  • Adept at working in a team environment.
  • Skilled at interacting and communicating with varying audiences in small and large settings.
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
  • Skilled at efficiently and effectively solving problems independently.
  • Demonstrated ability to relate to a diverse group of management and staff.
  • Strong supervisory skills and ability to provide feedback and manage performance.
  • Knowledge of social media platforms and basic interactions in order to communicate with prospective students.
  • Demonstrated ability at planning and organizing multiple projects and tasks.
  • Ability to learn and apply institutional policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools and ability to become familiar with recruitment software programs.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team environment.
  • Must be detail oriented and able to prioritize work effectively.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university required.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
