Bookstore Inventory Clerk - Plano Campus

Responsible for maintaining inventory and assigned job responsibilities for the Bookstore at Prestonwood Baptist Church (PBC).

Responsibilities

  • Receives, counts and stores product and materials from the stockroom
  • Records data and compiles stock reports
  • Compares office inventory records with sales orders, invoices, or requisitions to verify accuracy and receipt of items
  • Packs, unpacks and marks stock items, using identification tag, stamp, electric marking tool, or other labeling equipment
  • Examines and inspects stock items for defects or damage and reports to Bookstore Manager
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Growing relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior as an active member of PBC
  • High school education, some college preferred
  • Knowledge of administrative procedures such as processing systems, filing and records management systems
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of basic mathematical operations
  • Basic computer skills using Microsoft Office programs
  • Able to push or pull up to 50 pounds and to perform physical activities that require moving one’s whole body, such as walking, stooping, lifting, pushing/pulling a cart, and use of stairs
