BeScience STEM is seeking a dedicated work Editorial Manager to work collaboratively within a dynamic, fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment to write, review and/or edit communications material.

What are we looking for?

  • Supports the activities of editing, writing and publishing of documents and presentations within the communications department.
  • Contributes to the development of formats and guidelines for company documentation.
  • Writes, reviews and/or edits documents ensuring the integration of scientific, medical and regulatory input.
  • Ensures compliance with current regulations and requirements.
  • Ensures effective planning of timelines to meet deadlines for publications, documents, and other materials.
  • Strong problem-solver; ability to navigate various viewpoints to develop consensus
  • Management of direct reports
  • Passion for working in mission-oriented environment
  • Articulate, professional and able to communicate in a clear, positive manner with clients and staff.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak fluent English.
  • Contemporary experience in multimedia communications.
  • Evidence of a passion for language and respect for the power of expression.
  • Evidence of successful project management.
  • Strong aesthetic sensibility and appreciation for creative design a plus
  • Experience translating visual identity across communications properties
  • Evidence of skills in working as part of a team, meeting deadlines, and consistent and steady performance in a fast-paced and high-profile environment.

What will you be doing?

Write, review and/or edit communications material to ensure the coherence, consistency and brand alignment of FHI 360’s stories, key messages and other strategic content across all corporate communications. Contribute to FHI 360’s overarching narrative, stories and key messages; refine its voice and adapt its tone appropriate to a range of audiences including, but not limited to, governments, funders and partners, leaders in global health and development, and local audiences around the world. Translate FHI 360’s scientific, technical and programmatic language into accessible and engaging copy for multiple audiences. Maintain consistency of voice, style, punctuation, spelling and grammar with editing and writing of publications. Write strong, clear and compelling copy for high-profile communications. Schedule work plans, manage processes to complete materials on time and within budget. Secure the appropriate approvals for all corporate communications. Contribute, through everyday actions, to an organisational culture of diversity, commitment to social change, high performance, continuous quality improvement and innovation. Manage 1 direct report, coach/mentor junior staff
