DECSKILL operates in 3 main areas:


  • DECSKILL TALENT, through which we provide our clients with an extension to their IT teams;


  • DECSKILL BOOST, through which we provide our client with software development models to increase capacity and optimize Time-to-Market, where we create and manage teams that deliver according to their needs, at the desired speed;


  • DECSKILL CONNECT through which we provide our client with consulting services, as well as the implementation and management of information technology infrastructures.

We are looking for a Product Owner for a project based in Lisbon:


Mission: Defining and prioritising features and requirements for our product, as well as working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that the product is delivered on time and meets the needs of our customers.


Responsibilities:

  • Be the Product Owner of several products, defining the product backlog, prioritise and manage it to ensure that the product is delivered on time and meets the needs of the customer;
  • Work towards the definition of the vision and strategy of the product and materialize it in the product roadmap (drawing up/updating the product roadmap).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute product development;
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all product-related issues and decisions;
  • Act as the "voice of the customer" within the development team;
  • Follow the development team and all product developments.
  • Work closely with the functional and technical leads, architects and development team to plan and execute product development;
  • Be responsible for the product, and you will, in a daily basis to bring about the best Product for our customers.
  • Meet with the stakeholders (internal and external) to gather their needs and, together with other teams, deliver the highest business value at each sprint.
  • Manage and monitor the Application Management Lifecycle.
  • Sprint planning, in conjunction with the Business Analysts.
  • Tracking/ monitoring/dynamization of product incidents other product issues.
  • Producing product-related documentation, sprint reports and Status Points for initiatives in the product component.


Requirements:

  • Professional experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager;
  • Experience working in a cross-functional team;
  • Strong understanding of agile development methodologies;
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills;
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience;
  • Team player attitude, goal-driven and results-oriented, self-motivated, with a willingness and aptitude to learn and grow with new technologies and techniques;
  • Professional proficiency in English (written and spoken) Plus;
  • Technical background with a hands-on coding background Plus;
  • Experience leading large software development projects;
  • Experience using Jira and Confluence Plus;
  • Being comfortable in the domains of process modelling, process monitoring, business rules, and business event-based technologies;
  • Experience writing User Stories, User Story Mapping and working in an agile tool Plus.
