Job Summary: We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Software Tester to join our quality assurance team. The ideal candidate will have experience in software testing, with a strong focus on identifying and resolving defects. This role requires excellent analytical skills, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for ensuring software quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Test Planning and Design:
  • Develop and document detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on functional and technical specifications.
  • Identify and define test data requirements to support test execution.
  • Test Execution:
  • Execute manual and automated tests to ensure the quality and functionality of software applications.
  • Conduct regression testing, functional testing, integration testing, and system testing.
  • Defect Identification and Reporting:
  • Identify, document, and report defects, inconsistencies, and issues found during testing.
  • Work closely with developers to reproduce, diagnose, and resolve defects.
  • Test Automation:
  • Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using appropriate test automation tools.
  • Ensure automated tests are integrated into the continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipeline.
  • Performance and Load Testing:
  • Conduct performance, load, and stress testing to ensure system stability and scalability.
  • Analyze performance test results and provide recommendations for improvements.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
  • Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure software quality.
  • Provide regular updates on testing progress, issues, and results to the project team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in software testing, with a strong understanding of testing methodologies and best practices.
  • Experience with test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail).
  • Familiarity with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium, JUnit).

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
  • Knowledge of programming languages (e.g., Java, Python) for test automation.
