Job Summary: We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Software Tester to join our quality assurance team. The ideal candidate will have experience in software testing, with a strong focus on identifying and resolving defects. This role requires excellent analytical skills, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for ensuring software quality.
Key Responsibilities
Test Planning and Design:
Develop and document detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on functional and technical specifications.
Identify and define test data requirements to support test execution.
Test Execution:
Execute manual and automated tests to ensure the quality and functionality of software applications.
Conduct regression testing, functional testing, integration testing, and system testing.
Defect Identification and Reporting:
Identify, document, and report defects, inconsistencies, and issues found during testing.
Work closely with developers to reproduce, diagnose, and resolve defects.
Test Automation:
Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using appropriate test automation tools.
Ensure automated tests are integrated into the continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipeline.
Performance and Load Testing:
Conduct performance, load, and stress testing to ensure system stability and scalability.
Analyze performance test results and provide recommendations for improvements.
Collaboration and Communication:
Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure software quality.
Provide regular updates on testing progress, issues, and results to the project team.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Proven experience in software testing, with a strong understanding of testing methodologies and best practices.
Experience with test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail).
Familiarity with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium, JUnit).
Preferred Skills
Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
Knowledge of programming languages (e.g., Java, Python) for test automation.
