Job Description

The Application Developer Consultant II develops code for intermediate modules, participates in design reviews, conducts code reviews, creates test plans and participates in testing reviews, and resolves moderate defects. The Consultant II designs, documents, reviews, and maintains components of software solutions for intermediate projects. Under limited supervision, the Application Developer Consultant II, works closely with business partners and Project Mangers to identify needs and design technology solutions to: increase operational efficiency, reduce compliance risks and/or advance strategic initiatives. Their work can vary from tactical solutions that need to be delivered within a few days, to a strategic project that may shape how a business unit will operate far into the future. They may be responsible for all phases or portions of the development cycle beginning with: concept modeling and requirements gathering, to release and ongoing user support.

Job Description

The role holder is responsible for ideating software solutions, driving the development and enabling the delivery of software applications with minimal guidance. The role holder will also be responsible for mentoring and assisting Associate Consultants and Consultants with their final deliverables, overseeing test plans, driving code reviews, identifying and resolving complex issues, to uphold the established standards of quality in the final deliverables.

Job Responsibilities

Collaborate with cross functional product teams to understand the business and technical requirements andaccurately translate the high-level design into application requirements, providing inputs with regard todeliverables, highlighting potential deliverable risks and actively contributing to the preparation of theproject plans and roadmaps at a module level

Develop well organized and optimized front-end applications by working alongside graphic designers withrespect to design features. Assist the development of features through collaboration with internal teamsaround defining technical requirements, driving product design, coding, testing and deployment in an Agileenvironment

Actively drive design / development /code reviews and provide feedback to ensure standards and systemsinteroperability.

Test software applications, troubleshoot, identify, and resolve developmental opportunities, technical issues,or any other features to ensure responsiveness and efficiency by following practices such as Test-DrivenDevelopment, Continuous Refactoring, Code Reviews and walk throughs along with Unit Test CoverageMethodologies to drive engineering excellence

Collaborate with team members to build an in-depth understanding of work and enable project deliverywithin stipulated timelines.

Endeavour opportunities to reduce complexity and continuously improve application performance.

Develop standard operational procedures, documents and oversee the maintenance of technicaldocumentation for accurate record maintenance and for ease of access for the organization.

Mentor, guide and assist Associate Consultants and Consultants with the final deliverables and play anactive role in enhancing their technical competencies
