The Company

A leading vaccine manufacturer, developing life saving medicines for infectious diseases, is searching for a new Global Director of External Quality. As they are expanding their global presence and entering new markets, the company is also transforming into a global organization.

The Role

The Global Director of External Quality is a newly created position to oversee the organizations external Quality interactions with manufacturers, suppliers, and distributors. The Global Director of External Quality is a key strategic hire to ensure external clients are adhering to FDA/EMA compliance & regulations. The role will also be responsible for recruiting and building a new department to execute the external Quality strategy.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing all external manufacturing, suppliers, distributors for vaccine production
• Ensure compliance according to FDA & EMA regulations
• Key partner for internal stakeholders
• Recruiting and establishing a workforce to manage External Quality department
• Formulating & executing External Quality strategy
• Establishing global standard processes
• Direct & indirect budgeting for External Quality cost

Requirements

• Extensive GMP experience in the biopharmaceutical industry
• Experience managing Contract Manufacturing Organizations
• FDA experience
• Experience working in international/highly matrixed organizations
• Strong leadership skills
• Negotiation skills
• Fluent in English
