Spa Manager

Topnotch Resort is truly a one-of-a-kind property with a Spa that boasts 30 treatment rooms, a hair salon, a nail salon, two pools and a state-of-the-art fitness center. Spa Manager Job Overview: The Spa Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operation and ensuring that the highest standards of personal luxury service and guest satisfaction are met in a professional and courteous manner.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Assist with the operations and management of the Spa department.
  • Ensure club memberships are accurately recorded and invoiced/charged.
  • Maintain excellent relations with club members.
  • Know front desk operations including reservations, filing systems, sales and guest check-in procedures.
  • Coordinate with sales team for any on-property group business.
  • Responsible for hiring and scheduling of staff, (including massage and salon) conducting disciplinary actions and providing training for all team members.
  • Provide a fair, consistent and positive work environment for employees.
  • Represent the Spa department at meetings and conferences when needed.
  • Assist Director with development of annual business plan.
  • Maintain accurate records on invoices, gift certificates, personnel issues, purchase orders.
  • Assist with forecasting revenue and monitoring payroll and expenses on a weekly and monthly basis. Suggest appropriate action to effectively manage profitability.
  • Remain knowledgeable of current industry trends, developing new programs and making improvement recommendations to the Spa Director.
  • Evaluate competition’s methods and products to enhance department service and systems.
  • Ensure the facility is clean, and all equipment is in working order.
  • Maintain resort and department high level service standards.
  • Consistently lead by example.
  • Patient and gracious in all guest interactions.
  • Well trained and knowledgeable about spa functions and services.
  • Complete all daily procedures and additional tasks as outlined and given.

Qualifications:

  • Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school or any other combination of education, training or experience that provides the required knowledge of skills and abilities.
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in the hospitality spa industry.
  • Additional language ability preferred.
