Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role as a Senior Network Consultant located in Effingham, IL. The Senior Network Consultant will be responsible for network administration, network security, network architecture, troubleshooting, and network engineering. They will work closely with clients to assess their network needs, design solutions, implement changes, and provide ongoing support and maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage daily technical operations, ensuring timely and effective resolution of client issues.
Serve as the ultimate escalation authority for complex technical problems and legacy systems.
Provide expert consulting services to clients, including network security, system administration, and technical support.
Mentor and support junior technical staff, fostering a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment.
Assist in the development and implementation of cybersecurity strategies and solutions.
Collaborate with the team to develop and maintain Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to ensure guaranteed response times.
Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve our service offerings.
Qualifications:
Network Administration, Network Security, and Network Architecture skills
Troubleshooting and Network Engineering skills
Experience in designing and implementing network solutions
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Excellent communication and client relationship management skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
Industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or CISSP are highly desirable
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field
Embraces innovation and adeptly adjusts to evolving technologies and standards
Strong expertise in Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, SonicWall, Sophos Intercept X, VOIP (8x8, Ring Central), and RMM tools (NinjaOne)
Extensive experience with Active Directory Management, file structure access control, and Hyper-V
Proficiency in programming languages such as C , C#, MySQL/MariaDB, Python, and HTML/CSS
