Prepare journal entries in support of month-end closing activities, ensuring proper documentation is obtained.
Perform balance sheet account reconciliations, identifying reconciling items and communicating corrections and process improvements to management
Lead Blackline reconciliation tool standardization and training across the company’s accounting divisions
Assist with analysis of month-end results, including comparisons to forecasts and budgets as well as researching and documenting variances
Respond to inquiries from various departments regarding financial statements and general ledgers.
Manage the intercompany process across the organization, working to identify issues and helping drive and adhere to monthly close calendar
Assist with ad hoc projects and analyses as requested.
Ability to effectively partner with teams throughout the organization, both in and outside of the accounting and finance group
Assist with interim and annual audits
Skills And Qualifications
4 years experience in general accounting
3 years experience in manufacturing preferred
Bachelor’s degree in accounting
Must possess strong analytical skills and the ability to understand the “root cause” of issues
Competency with Microsoft Office and Advanced Excel functions
Experience with ERP accounting systems, Microsoft Dynamics (D365) a plus
Strong communication skills, both verbally and written
Strong knowledge of GAAP
Prior experience with consolidations and intercompany a plus
