The position of Shift Security Supervisor is a part-time, twelve-month position with flex hours between 16 and 24 hours per week. The Security Officer safeguards the University's facilities and enforces established security policies and procedures with University personnel, students, and visitors at all University locations.
Essential Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required.
One years’ experience in security, military or related field monitoring property and safety;
Prior experience in a college/university setting preferred.
Ability to successfully complete a University training program for certification in First Aid, CPR, and AED within 90 days of hire .
Willingness and ability to do physical labor including heavy lifting within manageable and safe parameters; occasionally lifting 25 to 50 pounds at a time. Physical ability to stand, walk, stoop, climb, bend, etc. Working conditions may include exposure to extreme temperatures (> 100 F and/or
Valid New Jersey Driver's License.
Proven ability to work with a diverse population.
Ability and willingness to work flex hours as needed.
Graduation from an accredited police academy and certification by the Police Training Commission of New Jersey preferred.
