QA Engineer

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and execute test plans and test cases for web, mobile, and API

applications.

  • Perform thorough integration testing using APIs, ensuring seamless communication

between different platforms.

  • Identify and report bugs and defects through a designated bug-tracking system (e.g.,

Jira, ADO).

  • Collaborate with product managers and software engineers to understand and translate product requirements into effective test strategies.
  • Participate in code reviews to identify potential issues early in the development process.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest QA methodologies and best practices.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience in software quality assurance testing.
  • Experience testing web, mobile, and/or API applications (a plus for all three).
  • Strong understanding of integration testing principles and methodologies.
  • Experience working in Agile development environments.
  • Proficient in writing clear and concise test cases.
  • Experience with Jira and/or ADO for bug tracking (preferred).
  • Previous experience with TestRail (a plus).
  • Experience working in the HCM (Human Capital Management) industry (a plus).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Integration of the client's HCM core platform with third-party systems like Greenhouse Earned Wage Access / Daily Pay, ACA (SyncStream), and Worker's Comp—PayGo.
  • Experience with automation testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress).
  • Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
  • Experience with cloud-based testing platforms (e.g., Sauce Labs, BrowserStack).
