Manager of Portfolio and Asset Management

Description

This position plays a vital role within the Portfolio & Asset Management team and will work closely with the Director of Default Servicing to manage distressed business purpose loans with the goal of mitigating losses to the company. The position will lead a team of asset managers and will oversee all daily operations.

Responsibilities

• Direct and lead performance of the Portfolio & Asset Management team by establishing KPI’s, SOP’s, and loan servicing mitigation strategies.
• Own portfolio modeling, valuation, summary analysis and presentation to internal and external customers (executive leadership, investors, etc.).
• Collaborate and interface with Underwriting, Construction, Credit, Servicing, Default Servicing, and FP&A teams to provide best in class Asset Management and execution.
• Shared responsibility for the methods and mitigation of losses across the entire portfolio.
• Oversee hold/sell recommendations as well as helping manage the refinancing or disposition of any identified assets.
• Create solutions to return any underperforming or delinquent loans to performing status.
• Oversees financial performance analysis on company assets to maximize revenue, profit, and returns.
• Presentation of updates and related materials to Senior Management and Credit Committee, as required.
• Identify performance trends and potential enhancements for assets to be analyzed and incorporated into servicer process or internal system changes.
• Responsible for preparation of comprehensive business plans and implementation of workout or liquidation recommendations.
• Other duties as assigned.
  
  

Requirements

Equivalent Education Level Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, real estate or related field is required
  
  

Professional Experience, Knowledge, Skills And Competencies Required

• 8 years of experience managing a commercial real estate portfolio.
• Prior experience in private lending, banking, or asset management highly.
• Experience with successful workouts and loan recovery.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to identify issues, draw logical conclusions, and interpret results for use in decision making with limited oversight.
• Ability to perform detailed research and follow through to completion.
• Strong organization and time management skills
• Strong problem solving, data collection, analysis and decision-making skills.
