DPC Veterinary Hospital is seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our Kennel team. Our well-trained and compassionate Doctors and technicians are dedicated to providing the highest standards of veterinary care to our clients and patients. Most of our support staff have been providing quality care to our patients and clients for 10 years.
Personal Requirements
The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, able to work with others as well as have self-management skills and meets the following requirements:
Minimum of 18 years old.
Genuinely enjoys working with animals and is able to deal with them even when they are stressed, ill or in pain.
Can stay calm and efficient during a medical crisis.
Approaches his/her job duties in a mature nature.
Has excellent client communication skills.
Physical Effort: Work requires lifting and carrying animals (will be assisted by other staff members in lifting animals over 40 lbs.). Walks or stands for extended periods or time; frequently works in a bent position.
Working conditions: May be exposed to unpleasant odors, noises and animal feces. May be exposed to bites, scratches and contagious diseases
Primary Job Responsibilities
Handle animals as required and restrain animals (Including but not limited to dogs, domestic and feral cats)
Provide care for animals housed/visiting the Hospital. Report signs of illness, disease, injury or unusual activity to animal health technicians/veterinarians.
Ensure that cages and animals are properly identified.
Clean, disinfect and maintain kennels.
Perform general cleaning in other areas of the hospital to control the spread of disease.
Laundry
Empty trash receptacles.
Record basic medical notes, such as bath or medicated dip notes, nail trim, anal gland expression notes.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Full time is 4 day work week, 10 hour shifts
Part time is a 2 day work week, 10 hour shifts.
