Job Summary: This position involves providing senior-level project management and technical expertise for large and complex projects with multidisciplinary teams. The role also includes guiding less experienced electrical engineers on project teams.
Primary Responsibilities:
Design and implement control systems within project budgets, schedules, and customer requirements, including material specification and procurement, schematics, layouts, programming, setup, testing, debugging, installation, and startup. This includes expertise in PLC, HMI, robotics, motion, and vision systems.
Approve control system design and documentation to ensure they meet quality, performance, and safety requirements. Also involved in approving customer acceptance and experimental tests.
Meet or exceed margins through effective planning and execution of assigned project work. Oversee application development for various systems and review system requirements and functional specifications.
Maintain positive vendor relations for assistance on future projects and positive customer relations to increase repeat business.
Demonstrate strong technical competence in specific technologies and use company systems and procedures effectively, including Syteline, for accurate and timely work management.
Lead a team of multiple engineers and designers on large projects, providing guidance to less experienced team members.
Maintain a neat and professional appearance, exhibit a positive and proactive attitude, and demonstrate approachability and flexibility as a strong team player. Ensure dependable attendance.
Working Conditions:
The working environment is generally favorable with adequate lighting and temperature. There are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, smells, etc. Conditions at customer sites may vary. Usually, less than 10-20% travel is required.
Minimum Education Required:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (BSEE) or equivalent experience.
Minimum Years of Experience Required:
Five (5) years of electrical engineering on progressively more comprehensive assignments.
