We are seeking a highly motivated accounting individual to join our Client's accounting team. As Senior Manager − Accounts Payable, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the Company's financial records and reporting processes. The Senior Manager of Accounts Payable is responsible for leading and managing the Accounts Payable (AP) department, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of all payables, and maintaining robust internal controls. This role includes leadership over ERP integrations, management of accounts payable function over multiple ERP systems, oversight of the Travel & Expense (T&E) function, and forecasting of cash needs. The Senior Manager will drive process improvements, enhance efficiency, and ensure compliance with company policies.
In this role as Senior Manager − Accounts Payable, you will be expected to, among other tasks:
Leadership and Management:
Oversee daily operations of the AP department, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and expense reports.
ERP Integration and Management:
Lead the integration of ERP systems related to the Accounts Payable function, ensuring seamless connectivity and data accuracy across platforms.
Travel & Expense (T&E) Management:
Oversee the T&E function, ensuring adherence to corporate travel policies and efficient processing of employee expense reports.
Operational Excellence:
Develop and implement AP policies and procedures that align with best practices and enhance operational efficiency.
Cash Flow Forecasting:
Develop and maintain accurate cash flow forecasts for the Accounts Payable function, ensuring the company has adequate liquidity to meet its financial obligations.
Month-End Accrual Accounting:
Assist the Accounting team with month-end accrual accounting processes, ensuring all expenses are accurately recorded in the appropriate period.
Strategic Initiatives:
Partner with senior leadership to align AP strategies with overall company goals and objectives.
Lead initiatives to streamline AP and T&E processes, reduce costs, and improve service levels through technology enhancements and process re-engineering.
Minimum Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in Accounts Payable, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization.
- Extensive experience with multiple ERP systems and leading ERP integrations a plus.
- Experience with Microsoft Business Central (BC), Eclipse, and Dataserv is a plus.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, internal controls, and financial reporting.
- Proven track record of driving process improvements and implementing best practices in Accounts Payable and Travel & Expense management.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on detail and accuracy.
- Strong Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
