London - University of Greenwich (Greenwich Campus) 26th June to 11th August
London - University of Westminster (Harrow Campus) 26th June to 11th August
Oxford - Oxford Brookes University – 26th June to 11th August
This is a residential position, so full board and accommodation is provided free of charge.

This role meets the requirements in respect of exempted questions under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. All applicants who are offered employment will be subject to a Disclosure and Barring Serviced check before the appointment is confirmed. This will include details of cautions, reprimands or final warnings as well as convictions.

Position Summary
- Attending a senior training course
- Overall responsibility for running the allocated Summer centre
- Set up and close down the centre in accordance with British Council and Bayswater guidelines
- Manage the day-to-day centre operations and handle any issues that arise
- Ensure all aspects of the courses operate smoothly
- Financial reporting, accounting and cost control for the centre
- Manage all Bayswater Summer staff that are appointed in their various posts throughout the summer including preparing rotas, recording days off/hours for payroll, etc
- Build strong, collaborative relationships with facility providers (accommodation, catering, classrooms, etc), ensuring that services are delivered in line with our agreement and dealing with any problems which may arise
What Are We Looking For
Knowledge, Qualifications, And Experience
- An undergraduate degree
- Experience of working with groups of international students taking part in educational programmes
- Experience of summer centre management and best practices
- Solid knowledge of safeguarding
- Experience of safeguarding of children/young people
- Experience of staff recruitment and managing people
- Current First Aid certificate
- An appropriate qualification (e.g. Playwork, Childcare or Sports Leadership)
- Cambridge CELTA or Trinity Cert TESOL (TEFL-I status)
- Cambridge Delta or Trinity Dip TESOL or equivalent (TEFL-Q status)
- Fluent in English
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Highly collaborative and able to work across teams to deliver results
- Numerate and IT literate with competence in Excel and Microsoft Office products
- Highly organised and able to manage a varied and demanding workload
- Resilient with a flexible, ‘can-do’ approach to work

- Salary of up to £800 per week depending on experience
