The Information Governance Officer will support the Head & Deputy Head of Information Governance in promoting adherence to information governance (IG) best practice within the organisation.
In doing so, they shall operationally lead a range of IG-related duties, including:
Freedom of Information (FOI) Compliance
Data Protection Compliance
Corporate Records Best Practice.
The postholder will help the team ensure that staff at all levels of the organisation are provided with appropriate IG training. This includes presenting at induction and refresher and adhoc training as required.

Working as a key member of the Information Governance Team they will be jointly responsible
For provision of an information governance advice service to the Trust
Following up and managing IG / Confidentiality breaches, analysing & reporting these IG incidents to the Information Governance Steering Group. In the case of serious incidents immediate reporting of such to the Head of IG and Caldicott Guardian
Managing the Trust’s data flows and information asset register
The post-holder will provide project support for IG initiatives including maintenance of project documentation and monitoring and recording risks and issues.
The post-holder will provide administrative support including organising the IGSG and other meetings, providing agendas, writing of minutes and maintaining action logs.
