What we are looking for:

We're looking for a skilled HR Manager, based in the Amsterdam, NL area and covering all of our European team members. Our Europe HQ is in Hoofddorp (NL) and we have employees in the Netherlands, Sweden, the United Kingdom, France and Germany (and the list is growing!). This person will advise the Chief of staff on strategies and practices as we scale rapidly and will be a trusted partner. This opportunity offers a broad scope of work ranging from ensuring smooth daily operations to spearheading our approach to improve the overall team member experience, to owning and driving processes and policies to make sure Airspace is a safe, compliant, and equitable workplace!

The HR Team is looking for skilled and innovative team-player; with a feel for operational tasks who is keen to make an impact through developing policies and managing procedures.

Role Description & Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and lead a scalable Human Resources function for Airspace's European and APAC Operations
  • Set the standards for employee regulations, compliance, and payroll
  • Knowledge in Dutch labor law is required. Experience in German and Swedish labor law is a plus
  • Drive full cycle recruitment by partnering with hiring managers to align on recruitment strategies and help create compelling job descriptions
  • Develop a network of trusted 3rd-party partners to provide guidance, expertise, and assistance as we continue to grow
  • Maintain systems necessary for proper business functions (e.g., Hooray)
  • Ensure standardization of HR processes and legal requirements by following our ISo 9001:2015 guidelines and other industry standards & best-practices
  • Serve as a driving force for the culture at Airspace including spearheading employee development, feedback, and discipline
  • Take action with a Culture Ambassador mindset by executing on office management tasks
  • Drive change management as the organization evolves and serve as a passionate advocate for our mission and our values
  • Foster alignment and partnership between the the European, APAC, & US headquarters
  • Collaborate with and develop relationships with cross-departmental leaders to help enhance and grow our employee base and their satisfaction & productivity
  • Serve as a valued strategic partner in designing org structure and compensation strategies
  • Ability to work independently and demonstrate self-reliance, problem-solving, and resourcefulness
  • In-office attendance is required, for a minimum of 3 days per week

Ideal Background and Skills:

  • 3 years of Human Resources experience within Europe; experience working for multinational corporations preferred
  • BA/BS degree (or equivalent) in Human Resource Management or related field
  • High proficiency with HR information systems
  • Experience with Microsoft Office / Google Suite applications and comfort using data to complete analyses, drive recommendations and provide executive-level reporting
  • Must be fluent in English and Dutch. German is a plus
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills; comfortable working with senior business partners on a daily basis
  • Strong project management experience coupled with self-motivation and ability to effectively prioritize to meet business needs
  • Positive attitude and comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with people from different geographies and backgrounds
  • Experience in logistics is not necessary
