Job Description: We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Financial Controller to join our client's dynamic team. In this role, you will oversee all financial activities, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of financial operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance & accounts, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Inventory Management: Oversee and manage inventory accounting, ensuring accurate records, valuation, and reconciliation of inventory levels.
• Confirmations: Handle confirmations of financial transactions and agreements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Payment Preparation: Prepare and process payments, ensuring timely and accurate settlement of accounts payable and other financial obligations.
• KYC Applications: Manage Know Your Customer (KYC) applications, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and maintaining up-to-date records.
• P&L Statements: Prepare and analyze Profit and Loss (P&L) statements, providing insights and recommendations for improving financial performance.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare and present accurate financial statements, reports, and analyses to senior management, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop, manage, and monitor annual budgets and forecasts, providing insightful variance analysis and recommendations for cost control and efficiency improvements.
• Cost Management: Oversee cost accounting activities, ensuring accurate allocation and control of costs, and provide strategic insights to optimize profitability.
• Cash Flow Management: Monitor and manage cash flow, ensuring adequate liquidity to meet operational and strategic needs, and optimize working capital.
• Internal Controls: Develop and maintain robust internal control systems to safeguard company assets and ensure the accuracy and reliability of financial information.
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with local, national, and international financial regulations, and coordinate with external auditors for periodic audits and reviews.
• Stakeholder Management: Liaise with various internal and external stakeholders, including senior management, auditors, regulatory bodies, and financial institutions, to support business objectives.
  
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; a professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CIMA) is highly preferred.
• Proven experience as a Financial Controller or similar role, preferably in the oil or energy sector.
• Strong knowledge of financial regulations, accounting principles, and reporting standards.
• Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
