Senior Internal Auditor

The Audit and Risk Recruitment Company has been mandated by a global manufacturing and logistics business. Our client seek a Senior Internal Auditor. Our client employs over 30,000 people and has operations in over forty countries. For the successful candidate you will be joining a highly skilled audit team that regularly engages in a variety of challenging and exciting audits. In this position you will have to communicate and influence senior stakeholders.

This position will be responsible for managing the annual internal audit plan primarily for the Europe and Africa Region and other regions from time to time as needed. You will be required to travel around 20%-30% max, mostly around Europe.

Responsibilities

· Work as part of a team or independently on audits of business units, regional offices or head office departments across our client’s group with a primary focus on operational and financial processes and controls.

· Create and Lead in the planning and documentation of audits in line with Group audit procedures to ensure delivery of risk-based audits.

· Keep up to date on any changes in legal and regulatory environment which may impact our client’s audit work.

· Present audit conclusions and risk reports to Key stakeholders.

Experience and Qualifications:

· Accounting qualification or equivalent i.e. RA/ACA/CIMA/ACCA/ACA/MSc

· Experience in the transportation industry (i.e. Manufacturing, logistics, shipping, etc.)

· Experience and interest in auditing non-traditional audit topics (e.g. Sustainability, Change Management, Business Integration etc.);

· ‘Big 4’ or Multinational Internal Audit experience

· A minimum of 3 years experience in Audit

Must be fluent in English. Other languages would be advantageous.
