Vice President of Talent

SkyWater Search Partners is seeking a VP of Talent for a rapidly growing organization with over 2500 employees spanning multiple diverse business entities. In this role you will play a pivotal role in ensuring we remain an employer of choice while also positioning the organization as a leader in economic and community development through innovative and transformative approaches. You will set the people strategy for the corporate leadership function that successfully manages a diverse portfolio of complex regulated business through centralized strategic oversight.

  • Recruitment: Design and maintain list of strategic roles including business unit heads to develop and nurture the talent pipeline.
  • Employment Law & Performance Management: Ensure each business entity has a system of performance management that aligns with our desire for continuous improvement and policies and programs that ensure legal compliance with labor laws.
  • Total Rewards Management: Design and maintain an innovative compensation structure including any performance incentives that align with company strategy resulting in an engaged workforce. Design and maintain the consolidated benefits program ensuring the program is focused on strategic labor areas and effectiveness is measured and reported.
  • People Analytics: Design and operate a database of labor statistics, including turnover, demographics, satisfaction, industry comparison analysis.
  • Leadership Engagement & Development: Design and operate leadership gatherings that build excitement and engagement. Design and operate an executive development fellowship that measures and builds skillsets creating pathways and removing barriers for participation.

  • An experienced leader who has designed and implemented a shared service function and developed a brand as a trustworthy partner to internal leaders.
  • Experience leading the development and implementation of organizational design strategies that align with a diverse business portfolio ensuring clear roles and responsibilities across corporate functions and business units to foster collaboration and drive results.
  • Fosters an inclusive workplace where inclusion and individual differences are valued. Demonstrates cultural competency and an ability to work in diverse communities.
  • Demonstrated success leading the end-to-end employee experience within a customer-facing industry (i.e., hospitality, retail, healthcare, entertainment).
  • Personal and professional drive to give back to the community in a meaningful way.
  • A history of successful conflict resolution achieved through relationship building, teamwork, open-mindedness and the adventure of finding new solutions to old problems.
  • Sets direction and influences others to translate vision into action.


What qualifies You:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field. SPHR or SHRM-SCP preferred.
  • A minimum of 10 years in/with:
  • Executive Talent (HR) experience in at least two distinct highly regulated industries with revenue over $500MM.
  • Evaluating the effectiveness of compensation and benefit structures of a portfolio company or organization with over 2,000 employees.
  • Executive experience working in a learning and development program that embraces an experiential training model such as the 70-20-10 framework.
