Transportation Engineer

Hire Resolve's client is urgently seeking the expertise of a Transportation Engineer in Philadelphia, PA.

Responsibilities:

• Technical design duties including performing multi-modal design documents, calculations, report writing, scheduling, and cost estimating
• Development of horizontal and vertical corridor design (streets, trails, etc.), including centerline alignments, vertical profiles, cross sections, and site grading
• The position will require coordination with internal project team members across several offices, including structural, geotechnical, traffic, and water resources engineers, as well as planners and landscape architects
• Coordination with subconsultants, public agencies, clients, participation in project meetings, and assisting with community engagement efforts as needed
• Participation in professional societies like ASCE, WTS, and ITE will be encouraged
  
  
  

Requirements

• EIT or PE License in Pennsylvania, Delaware, and/or New Jersey
• BS or MS in Civil Engineering
• Experienced with AASHTO and NACTO design standards
• Strong interest in active transportation, complete streets, Vision Zero, and first/last mile solutions
• Involvement in professional societies and networking
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities
• A positive attitude and enthusiasm for design and working within a team
• Outstanding time management skills
• Passionate about alternative forms of transportation such as walking, cycling, and public transit
• Ability to balance multiple projects at once
