Sr. Director of Enterprise Project Management

Sr. Director of Enterprise Project Management at Southwest Key. Key functions include running the Enterprise portfolio management office, Project/Program processes, Enterprise Standards and Executive Reporting. Executive Liaison and Guidance to the C-Suite on the Portfolio progress across the organization.

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for leading the Global Enterprise Program Management Office (EPMO)
  • In charge of the creation of a Streamlined Digital PMO Office aka PMO Center of Excellence
  • Develops vision and overall strategy for the EPMO governance function across all organizations.
  • Serves as Executive Liaison interacting with all organizations within SWK.
  • Implements and administers end-to-end portfolio governance and portfolio management practices and processes, in alignment with SWK strategic goals and objectives, including integration with the annual planning and budgeting processes.
  • Leads enterprise-wide portfolio prioritization and reprioritization reviews for all enterprise projects, including transformational projects.
  • Leading the PM team members – Direct reports and Indirect across the organization.
  • Accountable for organization-wide education of EPM policies, procedures, and standards and consistent application across the entire portfolio of projects; engages regularly with all levels of leaders on strategy delivery and portfolio governance performance.
  • Promotes best practices and guides the team on a path of continuous improvement.
  • Ensures appropriate project, program and transformation hand-off and closure occurs, including holding the final postmortem / lessons learned sessions, and leveraging learnings to improve cross-team project practices.
  • Executer for the Digital Programs process to effectively function across the organization ensuring SWK values especially “Business Buy-In”.
  • Manage relationships between Sr. Business leaders for all orgs and at the appropriate level.
  • In charge of negotiating and projecting a positive image of the organization
  • In charge of the creation and maintenance of the “Digital” culture in the organization
  • In charge of restructuring the processes of “Lean Digital Processes”
  • Leads the efforts of a winning culture across the organization.
  • In charge of providing resolution to ambiguity in the organization and keeping it moving forward.
  • Ensure the increase in customer, user, and employee experience, for example, NPS Score and/or CSAT.
  • Collaborates in the Development, Coaching, and Mentoring of Talent and Leaders in the organization.
  • Leads and supports the completion and delivery of prioritized strategic initiatives that are tied to the CEO’s office.
  • The Sr. Director of Enterprise Project Management will use the ability to effectively influence upward decision-making with a demonstrated executive presence and presentation skills.
  • Candidate will understand and embrace diversity and possess the ability to adapt behavior based on cultural norms.
  • Manages change effectively including organizational, process, and service delivery changes. Successfully gains support for business-driven changes through effective and timely communication including rationale, scope, and schedule.
  • Helps team adapt, embrace, and align with broader changes within SWK.
  • This position is for a working leader to complete the mission, especially leading by example, should be able to direct but can also be hands-on when needed.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and/or Masters in Business and/or Computer Science or related field or 10 Years of Equivalent Experience.
  • 5 Years working with Executive management - C Suite and Senior Business Management
  • Relationship management, Visionary, Strategic Alignment, Driving Execution, Empowering Others, and running High Impact Dialogues
  • Program management skills, PMP/PMO training a plus.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to effectively present and execute innovative ideas. Ability to effectively present information and respond to high-level inquiries from clients, donors, partners, directors, and other members of the community.
  • Strong sense of accountability, integrity, and ability to handle highly visible responsibilities.
  • Excellent analytical skills: ability to quickly aggregate and analyze information.
  • Ability to take initiative, act independently, and direct one’s work.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and build effective relationships with key stakeholders, Equal Access staff, Directors, and external partners.
  • Able to use PMO tools like Service Now, Asana or other industry standard tools.
  • Guided by exceptional maturity, discretion, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Must be able to travel if needed.

Preferred

  • Nonprofit experience is highly preferred but not required.
  • Bilingual (English - Spanish)
  • Must possess a valid state driver’s license and be eligible to drive to facilitate program services as required by contractual agreement.
  • Required to work a flexible schedule to facilitate program services.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age at the time of hire.

Physical Demands:

Must be able to read, write, and communicate both verbally and in written form to express and exchange ideas. While performing the responsibilities of this job, the employee must be able to access all components of the workstation and other office equipment. Frequent typing, writing, bending, and twisting. Must be able to lift to 10 pounds. Must be able to drive either personal or company vehicle.

  • On-call availability and access, and periodic overtime.
  • Sitting for extended periods.
  • Unscheduled interruptions are to be expected during a typical workday.
  • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other computing equipment.
  • Some out-of-town travel will be required.

Work Environment:

General office environment with moderate noise. This position is mostly sedentary and involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods. A busy environment with many unscheduled interruptions frequenting computer uses at workstation for extended periods. Public contact position requiring appropriate business apparel.
