As a Service Coordinator, the role involves comprehensive support for the Specialized Field Services (SFS) team, focusing on operational and administrative tasks. Responsibilities include managing daily service orders, reports, and timesheets for accuracy, ensuring compliance with internal policies and customer site rules, and maintaining positive relationships with both external and internal teams. The position requires anticipating and supporting SFS Management needs, handling expense reports primarily related to travel costs, and assisting with the onboarding of new SFS technicians in Houston. The role also involves overseeing the DOT program for technicians mobilizing trailers and trucks outside Texas, ensuring annual trailer inspections, setting up project codes for proper billing, and maintaining data in various company tools. Additional duties include tracking technician locations and schedules, providing logistics support, assisting with service orders and expenses, compiling reporting data, utilizing technology for record-keeping, supporting travel bookings, managing fleet needs, outfitting vehicles, tracking documentation, managing electrical glove deployments, and maintaining technician certifications.

  • Onboarding Support: Assist with onboarding new SFS technicians going to Houston?
  • DOT Program Management: Oversee the DOT program for a small group of technicians required to mobilize tooling trailers and trucks outside of Texas state lines?
  • Trailer Management: Ensure annual inspection and renewal of tags for SFS trailers?
  • Project Code Setup: Work with accounting and programs to set up project codes for DWT US to ensure proper billing?
  • Data Maintenance: Ensure maintenance of data in various company tools (DPMS, L-Mobile, Paylocity, and Quickbooks) and run necessary reports?

Are You Ready To

  • Technician Tracking: Track technician locations, R&R, PTO scheduling, and outtake processes. Provide logistics support for tooling and spare parts movements.
  • Administrative Assistance: Assist technicians with service orders, timesheets, and expenses.
  • Reporting and Meetings: Compile weekly functional area reporting data and manage team meetings (weekly, monthly, and quarterly).
  • Technology Utilization: Leverage technology to maintain electronic records and perform responsibilities.
  • Travel Support: Assist with travel bookings for new hires and existing teammates.
  • Fleet Management: Oversee fleet needs, including tracking fuel cards, compiling monthly fuel and maintenance reports, renewing truck registrations, and managing new vehicle inventory.
  • Vehicle Outfitting: Ensure vehicles are properly outfitted and order necessary items.
  • Documentation Tracking: Track all documentation, including driver and handover forms.
  • Electrical Glove Management: Track technician electrical glove deployments and ensure proper rotations.
  • Certification Maintenance: Maintain technician certifications and provide them as needed.

What You’ll Need

  • High School Diploma or GED. Associates Degree is a bonus, but not required.
  • 1 years’ experience on site at a wind farm
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, and follow instructions, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures manuals.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, given proper instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving at least one concrete variable in standardized situations.
  • Must be able to pass a physical exam and drug/alcohol screening.
  • The employee must be capable of lifting and/or moving up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus because of potential work in close confines.
  • Employee must be physically fit enough to free climb 300 ft multiple times a day while wearing 25 lbs. of climbing gear and work in extreme weather conditions.
  • Must be capable of rescuing team mate anywhere in tower in the event of emergency.
  • We care about the safety and wellbeing of every one of our employees. To help ensure their safety, any employees climbing a wind turbine must use a Personal Fall Arrest System, and may not exceed the system’s maximum weight capacity of 309 lbs. This weight must include the individual, their tooling, uniform, and personal protective equipment. Based on these safety requirements and the standard weight of equipment, employees who climb wind turbines may not exceed a maximum personal body weight of 260 lbs.
