The Branch Manager coordinates and oversees the sales effort, manages the technical and administrative work, handles general personnel functions, and oversees day-to-day staff activities. The manager administers the branch budget and provides general leadership & direction for all aspects of the branch's activities.

Duties And Essential Job Functions

  • Implement sales strategy to ensure customer satisfaction and sales goals are achieved at the Branch level.
  • Manage and supervise all sales and operational processes including training and motivating the sales, operational, and CSR staff.
  • Accountable for financial responsibility including but not limited to: budget, gross sales, operating costs, inventory, purchasing, petty cash, and all required reporting. Manage the Branch budget to ensure actual results meet or exceed budget.
  • Approve vehicle specifications and oversee preventative care program for all vehicles to ensure minimum maintenance costs and overall safety of the vehicles.
  • Ensure proper and timely usage of the BMS system controls.
  • Review and approve Open Return Materials Data on a daily basis; Unapproved Cancelled Orders, and Daily Sales and Profit Report on a weekly basis; and Open Log Backlog Report, Credit Memo Report, Cost Overrides on Invoices, Price Overrides on Invoices, Profit Margins by Product Line, and Sales and Cost Summary on a monthly basis. All reports are to be reviewed with supporting documents referenced, signed, and dated.
  • Monitor, evaluate, and manage inventory utilization and inventory control procedures/processes to ensure they are in accordance with Company guidelines. Advise Division Controller of excess and obsolete inventory.
  • Oversee the completion of all required insurance forms in compliance with workers compensation, motor vehicle accidents, and personal property loss in a timely and efficient manner; prepare and distribute reports to appropriate parties as required.
  • Ensure safety meetings are conducted with full attendance and appropriate agenda and ensure proper reports are maintained.
  • Recruit, select, train, develop and manage employees. Conduct regular and timely performance evaluations.
  • Post all open positions through Human Resources. Document interviews and submit selection information to Human Resources for review and approval.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and productive work environment while focusing on minimizing work-related injuries and vehicle costs and any losses while complying with OSHA guidelines and Company directives.
  • Monitor the security and handling of Company assets to minimize employee injuries, product damage, and property loss.
  • Execute Company policies, procedures, and programs in a professional, effective, and timely manner.
  • Provide superior, responsive customer service while maintaining effective cost controls.
  • Plan and conduct regular staff meetings to inform, educate, and recognize employees, as well as to provide a forum to solicit ideas based upon the continuous improvement and best practices concepts.
  • Maintain business confidentiality relative to personnel, pricing, promotion, customer lists, and methods of distribution.
  • List daily, weekly, and monthly, reports that are to be reviewed with supporting documentation referenced with signature and date, indicating their review and approval.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Glass industry experience required including auto glass installation, commercial take-off, estimating and directing glazing work for storefronts, internal office partitions, and residential glazing work.
  • Scheduling and management of glaziers is essential.
  • Knowledge of inventory management, developing marketing plans, selling, and an understanding of financial requirements for operating a small business.
  • Basic computer skills.
