The Pediatric Healthcare Administrator will oversee a team of staff members. The duties of the Administrator include setting budgets for their facility, ensuring their facility adheres to health laws and regulations and implementing new methods to increase efficiency and patient experiences within the small but busy pediatric office. The ideal candidate should be able to handle multiple projects at one time. They should be well organized and able to complete each project on time. Good analytical skills must be able to communicate in a clear and effective manner, both in writing and verbally, must be able to use technology to communicate, create reports and determine trends, they should have experience with basic technology and programs. Ultimately, a successful Healthcare Administrator will oversee the administrative and be the go-to leader of the practice.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Team Management:
• Supervise and support a team of five staff members, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
• Coordinate staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage for daily patient needs.
• Foster a positive team environment that promotes collaboration and professional growth.
Program Management:
• Plan, organize, and oversee the execution of healthcare laws and regulations
• Ensure that all patients are treated fairly and with respect.
• Monitor the quality and consistency of the pediatric office staff, addressing any issues that arise promptly.
Data Management:
• Collect, maintain, and analyze screening data to monitor program effectiveness and identify trends.
• Prepare regular reports for internal and external stakeholders, highlighting key findings and recommendations.
• Ensure confidentiality and security of all screening data in compliance with relevant regulations.
• Evaluate the budget and create reports with recommendations to cut costs
• Schedule employees based on patient needs
• Oversee the organization of all patient records
• Stay up to date on healthcare laws and regulations
Continuous Improvement:
• Stay updated on current research and best practices in pediatric office best practices.
• Identify opportunities for program improvement and implement changes as needed.
• Organize and lead training sessions and professional development opportunities for staff.
Position Qualifications
Education:
Master’s degree in:
Healthcare Administration
Experience:
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in pediatric healthcare setting
• At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory or program management role.
• Familiarity with social, cultural geographic and economic characteristics of Oahu’s diverse communities is important.
Skills:
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent organizational and project management abilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in data management and analysis.
• Knowledge of early childhood illness
Working Conditions:
• Full-time position requiring occasional evening or weekend work for special events or deadlines.
• Office and on-site work environments, including travel to various pediatric office locations on island for workshops and collaborations.
