Outbound Transportation Specialist

Position Overview: As a Transportation Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring efficient outbound transportation operations. You'll be responsible for coordinating deliveries, resolving issues, and maintaining clear communication with internal teams, vendors, and transportation management. Utilizing our Transportation Management System (TMS), you'll schedule deliveries, track carrier performance, and uphold our commitment to operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Promptly respond to store and carrier inquiries, delivering professional and effective solutions.
• Coordinate delivery schedules and resolve logistical challenges in collaboration with our Transportation Manager and Distribution Center Operations.
• Utilize technology to route and plan loads efficiently using our TMS.
• Monitor and report on carrier performance metrics, ensuring on-time delivery and service excellence.
• Maintain positive relationships with store personnel, carriers, and internal stakeholders to optimize operational efficiency.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience in logistics or transportation preferred.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a focus on customer service excellence.
• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Ability to adapt quickly to new technology and prioritize tasks in a dynamic work environment.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to handle conflict resolution calmly and effectively.
