Job Description
Pay Range: USD 29.60-USD 40.00
A-shift hours- 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM– Monday – Friday (Eastern Standard Time)
Please Note
Must have MRP and SAP in a JIT Environment. This person will be planning materials from supplier to site and track them JIT for a production planner to plan them out to the floor for production.
They will be responsible for material scheduling into the packing plant in Greer.
Travel: 5% to suppliers. Mostly local. Occassionally.
Job Requirements
Position Purpose/Scope
Efficiently ensures availability of the required quantity of exact parts at the needed time to support Plant production program and TS-M (Material Planning) targets as they align to Plant goals.
Position Responsibilities
Controls supplies and stock by timely planning the correct quantity of parts, while at the same time optimizing the stock on hand.
Performs basic data processing and parameter administration in the Material Planning system.
Supports on-going series production, parts run-in and run-out, and processing of technical changes within this scope is the minimization of obsolescence costs.
Maintains and analyzes monthly Supplier rating and yearly SUMIS (Supplier Management Information System) rating information as applicable.
Participates in TS-M projects, or projects led outside TS-M.
Acts as a contact to all suppliers and carriers, logistics associations, and institutions.
Performs other duties as assigned by the Operations Supervisor
Education
Position Competencies:
BS/BA degree in Logistics, Business Administration, or International Business with German concentration or related discipline preferred or 4 years equivalent professional experience
in Material Planning including Material Requirements Planning (MRP).
Experience
2 years of related professional experience in Material Planning including Material Requirements Planning (MRP) a plus
1-3 years of experience in Supply Chain Management
1-3 years of experience in Material Control and Production Control Management.
Intermediate = 1-3 years communication/interpersonal skills
Intermediate = 1-3 years computer skills (Microsoft Office) with emphasis on Excel and Word and SAP
