Who We’re Looking For

We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Director, Business Operations to join our team and lead client, financial and investment operations for the client. Reporting to the Executive Director, Global Transformation, this role is entrusted with developing and implementing processes and best practices to ensure the success of the team. The ideal candidate will be a proactive and results-driven individual with strong project management expertise and a keen eye for process improvement and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Client Operations:

  • Partner with the Client Business Lead (CBL) and Executive Director to manage the day-to-day operations of the account ensuring team members are utilized efficiently, processes are implemented and governed, and the scope of work is delivered on time consistently
  • Partner with the CBL on legal and procurement requirements; and partner on the SOW management, including staff management, hires, and rotations
  • Develop and implement standardized templates and workflows to streamline project execution and improve efficiency
  • Drive talent and structural design to address proactivity, prioritization, deadlines, agility, and speed
  • Clearly define accountability for timeline management and escalation procedures within the internal team.
  • Update and communicate timelines to ensure alignment with client expectations.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency in workflow management and implementation
  • Creation and maintenance of org charts, distro lists, and team database
  • Foster a culture of accountability, urgency, and excellence within the team
  • Develop and govern the development and execution of operational playbooks to enhance team performance and accountability

Financial Operations

  • Collaborate with the global finance and local agency teams to ensure strict adherence to budget management, authorization, forecasting, billing, and media clearance processes. While the local agency teams are responsible for executing these tasks, the operations lead ensures they understand, follow, and complete these processes on time

Investment Operations

  • Collaborate with and support the global investment team on management and execution of bi-annual global savings initiative and reporting
  • As needed, insure all tools are set up and teams have the training necessary to use them properly, including, but not limited to MediaOcean, OMNI, Planit, Signit, NMI, GWI, etc.
  • Maintenance of the agreed upon taxonomy across the account
  • Partner with the Agency COE team to ensure adherence to investment and activation standards and best practices

What you’ll need to succeed?

  • 8 years business experience within media agency working within media agency operations and project management
  • Proven experience in account leadership, operations, or related roles within media agency environment
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies, SLAs, and process improvement techniques
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills with the ability to influence and drive change within a cross-functional team
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on driving efficiencies and optimizing workflow processes
  • Experience in managing client relationships and expectations in a fast-paced environment.
  • Understanding of financial operations, budget management, strategic planning, and media activation
  • Proven ability to identify operational risks and proactively develop solutions
  • Comfortable engaging with and presenting to senior client leaders
  • A passion for tech and innovation

This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, other job-related qualifications/skills, and geographic location (to account for comparative cost of living). The Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. For this role, benefits include: health insurance, vision insurance, dental insurance, 401(k), Healthcare Flexible Spending Account, Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account, vacation days, sick days, personal days, paid parental leave, paid medical leave, and STD/LTD insurance benefits.

Compensation Range

$90,000—$150,000 USD
