Objectives Of The Position

Relevant Pregnancy Options Center strives to share the love of Jesus with those facing an unplanned pregnancy. We are a nonprofit organization who has been making a difference in Highland, IL and surrounding areas for 30 years. You would be joining an amazing team to help meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of those facing an unplanned pregnancy by providing advocate counseling, education, and support.

  • Have a sincere, mature faith and can disciple and support those he/she works with.
  • Have two years of experience in a helping profession in a position requiring leadership experience or equivalent; preferably has an associate or bachelor’s degree in a helping field, or related equivalent experience.
  • Exhibit strong interpersonal, spiritual, and organizational skills, takes initiative, is flexible and can carry out duties with little or no supervision.

If You Fit This Description Then You Can Expect

Schedule Part-time, 20 hours/week

Pay: $20.00/hour

Reports to: Executive Director, who has oversight responsibility for the entire organization.

Essential Functions

This list is not exhaustive and may be supplemented as necessary.

Client Services

  • Make prayer an integral part of the day-to-day operation of the Center.
  • Provide advocate counseling and services for clients.
  • Maintain and update the referral resources for volunteers and client use.
  • Handle routine business calls that don’t require Executive Director’s assistance.
  • Interact with Executive Director to relate client or staff needs, progress of Center, problems, goal setting and implementation.
  • Provide monthly and year-end client statistical reports, and monthly client stories to the Executive Director.
  • Complete data entry of client information after each client or by the end of day when client was seen.
  • Review client records for completeness (all necessary forms present) and signatures
  • Help implement in person and online ‘Earn While You Learn’ classes to meet the ongoing parenting needs of the clients.
  • Make sure participating clients have weekly classes and any completed lessons receive points earned.
  • Help clients in the Baby Boutique as needed.
  • Annually make sure the referral list is up to date.
  • Help volunteers when able, to sort material items and organize the Baby Boutique, or any special projects as needed.
  • Coordinate an annual appreciation event (dinner party) for staff and volunteers with the Executive Director
  • Have knowledge of Microsoft Office, proficient in Word, basic skills in Excel, Publisher a plus.

Public Relations

  • Participate and help with fundraising events, as requested by the Executive Director, especially the annual Banquet.
  • Participate in meetings with other organizations related to the needs of clients, as requested by the Executive Director.
  • Be available to speak to churches, women’s groups or other events as requested by the Executive Director.

Training

  • Responsible for helping to prepare materials for volunteer training seminars.
  • Assist in recruiting volunteers for the ministry.
  • Provide necessary supervision of the in-service training program as set forth in the Policies and Procedures manual.
  • Coordinate and assist in arranging the volunteer in-service meetings.

Other Responsibilities

  • Client Services Coordinator must be willing to perform other needed and related duties as assigned
  • The Client Services Coordinator receives an annual evaluation by the Executive Director regarding center operational matters.

We provide free pregnancy services, options counseling, education, and physical and emotional support. Our goal is to empower women and men to make confident choices for their futures. Ultimately, we want them to choose life for their baby. Our free services include lab-quality pregnancy testing and factual information regarding abortion procedures, side effects, and potential risks. In addition, we offer parenting resources and classes, adoption information, fatherhood support through a dad’s coach, and material support. As women, men, and their families become clients, we assist them with their children until the age of two. We also provide post-abortion support if a woman or man has experienced an abortion and is struggling.
