Chemical engineer

Position: Application Engineer

Location: Erie PA

Leading manufacturer of dehydration and purification equipment for the Natural

Gas and Oil; Gas markets has an opportunity for a qualified individual.

 The ideal candidate should have a technical degree, ideally in mechanical or chemical

engineering/chemistry.

 Practical experience in field/plant setting or process design capabilities

 Familiar with solid adsorbents (molecular sieve and/or activated alumina)

 Able to work with adsorbent suppliers to size and select proper desiccant materials to

meet parameters of the drying and/or purification process

 Able to confirm process inlet and outlet parameters required for sizing desiccant beds

 Be familiar with major process components including valves, pressure vessels, heat

exchangers, etc.

 Familiarization with thermodynamics, heat exchangers, pressure vessels, valves and

instrumentation are a plus.

 Individual will communicate directly with customers to analyze the specific application

requirements. Assist in cost estimating and formally submit a technical / commercial

proposal solving their dehydration/purification needs.

 Proficiency Microsoft Excel and Word is required
