Description Of Job

The Parking Customer Service Technician is responsible for the following duties:

Parking Citations And Payment Duties:

  • Operates the computerized parking citation system by entering information about parking citations, permits, and payments.
  • Verifies the information previously entered into the citation system for accuracy.
  • Records payments collected on behalf of the department by State of Colorado Central Collections Services and at the request of management staff, researches requests from that office for additional information regarding accounts.

Customer Service:

  • Provides first-line customer service to customers via electronic means (telephone and e-mail), traditional mail, and in person.
  • Sells permits and passports and answers questions from customers regarding parking policies, fees, permits, citations and the citation appeal process, as well as general information about the Auraria Campus, and therefore remains current on these policies and procedures.

Administrative Duties:

  • Daily data entry of vehicle registrations.
  • Reconciliation of daily web payments and daily revenue receipts to bank deposits.
  • Processing of third-party invoices for sales of general, special and handicapped permits, as well as special event tickets and miscellaneous events conducted by departments on campus.
  • Daily Review and processing of Validations from department inbox.
  • Preparation of parking purchase requisitions.
  • Data Entry of EcoPass contracts into RTD System.
  • Other data entry duties assigned from Front Counter Supervisor.

Occasional evenings and/or weekends may be required in the performance of job duties.

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications, Substitutions, Conditions of Employment & Appeal Rights

  • Two (2) years of general clerical, customer service or administrative service experience.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office (Excel and Outlook is required). This experience must be listed on the application.
